About

Titaw

Titaw is pronounced (Tee T/aʊ/).  That last vowel sound in the second syllable is ow like you would hear in the word cow.  The word is from the Yapese language and means grandma.  When my children started having children, we decided to hang on to my husband’s Yapese heritage by using Titaw and Tutuw for Grandma and Grandpa.  Afterward, I started a YouTube channel called Titaw Reads to read stories to my grandchildren who don’t live close by.

Here is my written chronicle of all things about reading and books from me — Titaw
